The making of Berlin is een indrukwekkend mooie en bejubelde voorstelling, rond het uitzonderlijke verhaal van een regisseur bij de Berliner Philharmoniker. Een man die liefst wil teruggaan in de tijd om een onafgewerkt levenshoofdstuk te voltooien.
Berlin engageert zich, met de hulp van o.a. het orkest van Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, radiozender Klara en de Duitse acteur Martin Wuttke, om hem bij te staan in het realiseren van zijn droom. Gaandeweg zien ze barsten
in zijn relaas en komt het hele project op de helling te staan.

Feit of fictie? Genreoefening of autobiografie? Mockumentary of utopie? De geniale theaterfilm The making of Berlin overdondert van begin tot eind.
